Mozambique, the MEGAFAUNA

The diving in Mozambique is unique and the natural coral reefs are inhabited with a big variety of marine fauna. The dive site varies from 10-40m in depth and 1km to 12km in distance from launch site. Mozambique’s specialty is shark diving at the reef- Pinnacles. In season (Sep-April) you have the opportunity to have close encounters with some shark species such as: whalesharks, hammerheads, great white sharks, oceanic black- & whitetip sharks, bullsharks & silvertips!!

Besides all the shark species, Mozambique has a vast diversity of marine life that include whales, abundance of rays, endangered leatherback turtles, dolphins and even great macro!!

What’s the Diving like in Mozambique?

Mention Mozambique and most scuba divers immediately think Megafauna. Whale sharks and manta rays feed on the plankton rich water year round, while humpback whales pass through the Mozambique Channel from the Antarctic.
